Vanessa J. Everett

Vanessa J. Everett, PT, DPT is an Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Augusta University in Augusta, GA. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy and has been a clinician in the Augusta area for over 13 years. She has worked with older adults as a physical therapist in the home health setting for over seven years, diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing interventions to improve strength, endurance, and balance. Currently, she practices clinically in the Wellstar MCG Health hospital system in the general acute care setting. Her research has focused primarily on the management of individuals with amputations, return to running programs with prosthetic users and the impact of balance impairments in individuals with various orthopedic conditions. Currently, she is serving as the Treasurer for the Georgia Consortium of Clinical Educators.
